Change Your Service | Billing

Change Your Existing Service

To make changes to your service, simply call us anytime Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. or fill out our online form. One of our Customer Service Representatives will be happy to help you.

If you sign up or disconnect a service on your account you will only be billed for the portion of the month that the service was active.

Disconnecting or Moving Your Existing Service
If you are moving within CP-TEL’s service area, please contact our office five to seven days before you move so that we can ensure that sufficient facilities exist at your new address.

If you are moving outside of the CP-TEL’s service area, we only need a 24 hour notice. At the time you call to disconnect, we will ask you for a forwarding address and telephone number so that we can send you your final bill.

Paying Your Bill
Customer statements are prepared and delivered on or before the 5th of each month. The monthly charge for local telephone, Internet and television service is billed one month in advance. On Demand purchases and long distance calls are billed after they are made. Payment for service is due and payable on or before the 25th of each month. Payment Options

Automatic Bank Draft

You can easily arrange for your monthly bill to be charged against your checking account. You will be sent a bill each month so you can post the amount in your checkbook. Call our office to arrange for this free service and save time, trouble, and stamps.

Need Assistance Paying Your Bill?
If you are a qualifying low-income customer, you may be eligible to receive a credit on your monthly local telephone bill. We can help you find out more about the program. A late charge of 5% per month is applied to all balances carried forward to the next monthly statement. Late charges still apply when special payment arrangements are made. A service charge of $10 will be charged to any customer who issues payment to the company which is drawn on an account that is closed or does not have sufficient funds to cover the payment. This includes checks, bank account withdrawals, and credit/debit cards.
