What is HDTV?

It’s Wider
HDTV is broadcast in a 16:9 aspect ratio, just like a movie theater. Standard Definition TV is broadcast with a 4:3 aspect ration.

It’s Sharper
HD can be delivered in up to six times the resolution of traditional TV.

It Sounds Better
HD broadcasts can utilize 5.1 Dolby surround sound.

How Do I Get HDTV?
You must have an HD Television. Then call CP-TEL! If you are on our Fiber-To-The-Home system, or live in an area where we can deliver Fiber-To-The-Home, we can provide you with an HD or HD+DVR Set Top Box.
